Dual Enrollment
For incoming Freshman who have taken college course while in high school can apply the college credit hours to their chosen degree. To see what will transfer a student can use the Transfer Course Articulation agreement to ensure courses they are taking will transfer.

Credit by Examination
High School students can take AP level courses and take an exam to gain college credit level hours. To view what AP scores will provide college credit please view the link.
ACT score course selection
A students ACT score will dictate what courses students can sign up for. If a score is not met a student will be to take a beginner or intermediate level course before taking a higher-level course. Below are the score standards.
Students with an ACT English subscore of 17 or lower (or the equivalent SAT score) will be required to successfully complete EN 0103 Basic English before advancing to the English Composition sequence (EN 1103 and EN 1113). Students with an ACT Math subscore of 18 or lower (or the equivalent SAT score) will be required to take MA 0103 Intermediate Algebra before advancing on to math requirements within the chosen degree program. Calculus requires an ACT Math sub score of 26+ or a grade of “C” or better in Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus (MA 1453). Intro to Statistical Inference requires an ACT Math sub score of 24+ or a grade of “C” or better in College Algebra. Chemistry requires a Math subscore of 24 or grade of C or better in MA 1313).

Master Class Schedule
To be able to view the master class schedule go to mystate > Banner > myBanner For Students > Registration > Master Class Schedule
Students can select the current term to view what courses will be offered and the time/days they will be held.
Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning (CAPP)
All MSU students have access to the degree audit system CAPP (curriculum, advising, and program planning) in myState. CAPP helps students and advisors track progress toward graduation. It outlines all courses required for the chosen major and which courses have been completed or remain to be taken, as well as hours earned, GPAs, and transfer hours.
To view CAPP, students should choose CAPP compliance under Academic Records in myBanner under myState and view a previously run evaluation or generate a new evaluation. To investigate a possible change in major or the addition of a double major, students should choose a What-If evaluation. These audits will utilize courses completed and those scheduled to inform students of their status at any point in their university career. Questions concerning articulation or substitution of courses should be directed to students’ advisors or Dean’s offices.
